Basic Information
Name: Strid Engill (“War Angel” in Icelandic)
Age: +1,500
Gender: Female
Personality: Strid’s pride made her a threatening opposition as she spoke in arrogance with the mix of half-truths to intimidate her foes. She was very confident in her speed, strength and her ability to withstand greater amount of harm than the average Arrancar as she occasionally put her very heavy pole-axe zanpakuto down before a fight. When the fight is started, she became acrobatic and ambidextrous with her fists and feet. Her speed, agility, resilience and strength are estimated to overwhelm any Gotei Lieutenant while putting some Gotei Captains’ skills to the test.
Throughout her career as an Arrancar, she never smile, not even a smirk as she was very serious with her powers and discipline. When she became what she truly is, she smiled passively in a recognizable mix of arrogance, confidence, sadism and apprehension of greater power. From there on, her fighting style changed near-completely from unarmed martial arts then into a mix of cero flame attacks, axe attacks, spearing and kicking, keeping any captains on their toes at all time because her attacks are more relentless in comparison to her “normal” form.
Apperance:
Form of Cero: Violet (Flame-Like) / Mouth / Non-Lethal (Knock Out if it impacted the target’s head) while making an unusual “howling” noise instead of its normal sound.
Zanpakuto Name: Amethyst
Un-released Zanpakuto’s Appearance: (refer to Resurrección Appearance)
Strid’s pole-axe was usually either laid off to the side in the beginning of battle, but she usually gained her victories without her zanpakuto; however, when she needed it, she will return to her pole-axe before transforming into her Resurrección form. Though even in Resurrección form, the pole-axe did not change at all. Despite the risk of losing her zanpakuto, Strid was confident that her weapon will retaliate against unwanted thieves with its weight. It is the only evidence that Strid is unnaturally strong as it weigh five times more than it looks (comparable to a SUV.) When Strid is in Resurrección form, she began using the pole-axe without neglecting its powers.
Resurrección Release phrase: “Lets try this again, but do have more feelings this time.”
Resurrección Appearance:
Resurrección Abilities: Flames of The Howling (Reoccurring Flame) : Strid is a commander during her time alive, so she naturally have good lungs. When she shouts as an Arrancar, her foes that survived by cowardice reported that violet flames rise without a familiar pattern. In actuality, Strid is capable to mark a surface with scratches from her pole-axe; at the same time, she channeled her cero energy through her pole-axe and into a fine line that the dormant cero energy is deposited until Strid makes a normal cero attack. The normal cero attack’s energy is what triggered the deposited cero energy to combust, making miniature walls of violet flame.
History/Background: Strid Engill originated in what is now Ireland during the time of the Celtics. As an unsung heroine of her people, Strid was outfitted with the title, “War Angel” due to her expertise in combat and her kill count against the Roman Invaders. It is believed that she was sent by the Irish Goddess, “The Morrigan,” since a woman of her skills and warlike behavior is very rare at the time. She was eventually murdered by a Roman Centurion since she has more influence over the occupying Roman Legionaries than he does.
Though she was not granted access into the Soul Society, she landed in Hueco Mundo instead and became a Gillian. Each month, she plagued Ireland by killing humans and devouring the innocent souls of the living through the hunger that is not satisfied. She soon evolved into a Adjuchas and into a Vasto Lorde in a tour of cannibalism of other hollows. Strid eventually ripped her mask off after receiving information about the power of the Arrancars.
When she experienced the Hogyoku’s brilliance, she became an Arrancar followed by her pledge to the Espada. As an Arrancar, she led attacks in the Americas and the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, she confronted a human who surprised her with a blast of energy that cut off her left arm and singed her left face. Though she would be abandoned by her allies for such a failure at the Weeping Mountain’s Base Assault, she was lucky to captured a healer in the Americas and he mended her arm and face.
Slowly climbing through the ranks, she wreaked havoc through Africa, Europe, Americas and Asia as she led the hollows through resistances and a few Shinigami; all of the Shinigamis she encountered so far, fell before her conqueror’s fervor. However, she only stood in the background of the apocalyptic conquest ever since the Soul Society no longer come to play and the remaining Shinigamis are either in hiding or managed to elude her detection. Seeing that the Shinigamis are no longer a threat to her, she sought through the lands, looking for that human who defeated her before by a fluke.
Roleplay Sample: (Strid’s Past as an Arrancar)
One by one, Gillians fell before a lone shinigami who was thought to be abandoned by the Soul Society. His desperation tainted the air as he was surrounded by gillians until an Adjuchas Meno came in thought of finishing the Shinigami off. But the plan was bad as the Shinigami later on purified the adjuchas. The gillians stood still until a solitary and slow clapping noise echoed in the distance. The gillians dispersed into a half a football field worth of distance, revealing a woman with a boney pipe hanging off her lips.
”Bravo. Congratulations on your victory. I am your prize. Shall we dance?”
The woman red, ponytail hair dances in the wind as she mocked the Shinigami with a continuously slow applause and an absence of a cheerful spirit as she never smiled once, just a void within her gravity. The shinigami prepared his stance as the woman reeled back her right arm and shifted her right foot back into a crouch. As if a gillian’s groan was the cue, the woman darted at a blink speed, leaving the shinigami stunned before his chest was pierced by the woman’s right hand that went through him. The woman pulled her right hand out quickly and pushed the dying shinigami with the same hand, marking his face with his blood.
The woman whipped her bloody hand to clear the blood as she walked off while collecting her pole-axe along the way. Without the presence of their captain, the gillians feasted on the dead Shinigami.
