Akumu was thinking about what she would eat then suddenly a palm struck her in the face, and she felt a warmth spread over her body. she winced opening her eyes only to close them against the light. She heard the words from Markus and growled smacking his hand away from her, "the hell man?" she grumbled glaring at him coldly. "Is that your idea of a joke?" she asked resting her hands on her hips.
"I'm sorry if i'm not the best company..." she murmured adverting her eyes, "i..i didnt' mean to upset you or something" she grumbled. "i'll just step back" she stated taking three steps back from the man, "Better?' she asked forcing a smile her eyes shielded again with shadows. Akumu was used to getting these kind of reactions from people.

Markus sighed. ~How was that supposed to be a joke? I mean really I get it she was bathed in shadows, but demon begon? You’re an asshole, just want you to know that~ Markus sighed his Zanpakuto was right he had clearly just hurt the girl and for the life of him he couldn’t figure out why he had done it. markus put a hand to the back of his head unsure of why he had done what he had just done. “Um forgive me siekatsu has a weird sense of humor, and she can often talk me into weird situations, please forgive me, I don’t know what I was thinking.”
Siekatsu twitched slightly in its sheath. “I did nothing you bastard this is your fault man up and~ Markus placed a hand on the wakazashi and slapped it slightly shutting her up. Markus gave Akumu a reassuring smile as he tried to convince her that it wouldn’t happen again. “in all honesty though your hood makes me slightly unnerved. I spent a lot of time in the second squad and now a days. well lets just say I like to see the faces of people I talk too. however I am truly sorry Akumu it wont happen again. please if you walk this way we can easily find you something to eat. I do appoligize.” his voice was sincere as he looked into Akumu’s hood more worried then anything else.

Akumu gave a nod, understanding about spirits who talked too much. "It's alright" she murmured and then pulled her hood down showing her adorable face. "better?" she asked again keeping that forced smile. ~"you should just kill him.. get rid of him and that rude spirit of his"~ L.K. whispered to her in a hiss. Akumu just mentally rolled her eyes, "It's fine.. you did not harm me.. lucky for you" she added the last part narrowing her eyes warningly.
"But anyway. I am hungry and do not know the way, lead on" she nodded her head forward telling him to continue as she then stood closer to him, so that he could always see her. ~i will be nice.. i will not make him uncomfortable.. otherwise he won't want to heal me next time~ she thought worriedly. "I'm sorry if anything i've said scared you, as captain of the third I represent my squad well" she smiled sweetly.

Markus sighed inwardly thinking for a moment as he walked just beside Akumu, he didn’t mind if she was weird he was just off set by it, and to tell the truth he did feel sorry for the captain as she was stuck with the third squad. Leading the way he wanted to say something to the captain but didn’t know what. To say. “on our left you will see the main squad four infirmary. As a captain I am sure that you are familiar with its lay out? Most people have spent at least one night within its walls. And up a head we will find.”
Markus gave Akumu a smile, this was a place of healing and although Akumu didn’t look hurt but he could guess otherwise. He shook it off he didn’t need to guess at the past of a woman he barley knew. They entered into a large room that for the most part looked much like any other cafeteria. The line was moving smoothly but two captains, could easily cut in, however markus mearly took his spot at the end of the line. “I do try to avoid this place during lunch hour, but for today I am making an exception. If you want feel free to go get your food I much prefer to wait in line.”

Akumu continued to listen to his tour, she had been here yes, but usually left within a day. It was her men who trained with her that ended up staying longer. She was a fighter before a captain. She wore no captain's jacket, but merely held the symbol on her back. It was a small symbol covered by the hood of her cloak as it was down, when up it was seen, but not seen now. As they entered the cafeteria Akumu took in the smell of food enjoying the suddenly rumbling in her stomach; she had not eaten all day and with being stabbed she was even more hungry. ~I must remember to kill that man later~ she thought offhandedly. Yes killing someone was an offhanded thing to do as Akumu.
She blinked and then grumbled to herself loud enough for him to hear, "I'd never cut in line.. that's just being a bitch.." Akumu was a noble fighter when alive, she still had some morals to herself even the most mundane. "It smells lovely though" she added with a small smile, it appeared tiresome though. Akumu had died a solider, but was reborn to being something more... It was odd for her to see herself higher then those she ordered around, but with L.K.'s help it was easy.. it's like he knew how to order thousands of mindless 'zombies' to do his work and with that knowledge helped her.

Markus didn’t really expect that from Akumu most captains didn’t consider themselves part of there own squad let alone part of another persons, an act like waiting in line was just un heard of and defiantly not something he expected from Akumu he gave her a kind smile. the wait in the line was long and one he always hated. At one point a person attempted to step inforont of him not noticing the two captains. Markus polightly tapped him on the shoulder and gave a smile that seemed to say ‘BACK OF THE FUCKING LINE’
After watching a member of his squad run to the back of the line with browning pants they finally reached the food. “Crap its chicken night, I hate chicken. Ill just take a large salad. And a leg..” he turned to akumu unsure of what to say, “thanks for coming with me for lunch, ill pay for your food so please order what you want.” He said as he pulled out his wallet.

Akumu rocked on her heels as the two captains waited for the line to move. Most people had simply not tried to get near Akumu by her aura alone, but one person tried to move ahead of Markus and she was about to speak up when he made a simple jester and the man got the hint, “…heh” she chuckled a bit and continued to rock on her heels. Akumu was an odd ball; she worked hard and was actually a good leader, but at the same time still acted like any grunt. She only talked back when she remembered she was a Captain herself.
She pushed her red bangs from her eyes staying close to the other captain as they moved ahead in the line, “eh, I prefer steak, but this is okay” she muttered then placed a pale hand over his wallet and smiled weakly, “No, I’ll pay no worries” she said pulling out her own wallet, which had about three times more in it then Markus. Akumu grabbed herself a breast of chicken and her own salad.

Markus sat down and began to eat the meal he smiled to Akumu she wasn’t that bad once you get past the creepy vibe. “so Akumu were you always with squad three? I don’t mean to be nosy but you seem a lot more polite then most of your squad, and far less… emo.” He gave her a small smile as he asked.
“im not originally from fourth squad myself you see. In fact I only joined this squad about fifty years ago. And in that time ive actually accomplished vary little. Becoming captain of a squad of janitors, and learning the art of healing wasn’t that difficult, it’s the forms we have to fill out that are gonna be the death of me.

Akumu shook her head as she chewed her food, "well, i jumped from squad to squad for many years, then was in the 7th for about 400 years" she said coolly, "then the 3rd squad captain spot opened up and i jumped for it. Well i actually hacked for it, you see," she took another bite then continued, "you see, for 3rd if you want to be captain you gotta fight for it! I defeated 7 people at once to be the captain.. and i did it without killing any of them" she smiled softly, "I showed that not only was i powerful, but skilled enough to defeat someone without finishing them." she blushed a bit showing a bit of pride.
"I've only been a captain for such a short time.." she added taking a bite of her salad. "is it easy healing?" she asked, "I know it's easy to kill and hurt, but what about healing?" she asked actually curious.

A dark cloud came over markus as Akumu asked him that question. His smile faded and for a moment it seemed like he was in a dark corner all alone. the truth was for a captain of such a kido heavy squad, he couldn’t perform even the most simple of bakudo or hado. Healing was a type of kido, and it had taken him fifty years to learn how too heal even the most basic wounds, if it weren’t for his Zanpakuto he would be usless in his own squad. “um… it didn’t come easy to me.” he spoke in a low tone as he traced a circle around the floor. he looked as thou the world were bleak as he repeated the same phrase over and over.

Akumu tilted her head at the sight of the Fourth captain's sudden depressing state. "..." she made a bit of a face as she took a bite of her meal, "well if it were to come easy you'd be no different then what is expected of you" she started, "I find more respect in those who struggle to gain a position then those that are seemingly born into the spot. If you were a master healer you'd be quite boring. " she shrugged her shoulders, "If I was to say so, you're much more respectable then some perfect healing angel" she smiled slightly as she took another bite of her meal.
"I mean i was not born into a killer, i was a great fighter, i just have morals that allow me to kill villains without batting an eye is all" She smiled again at the captain, "now stop being so depressed, we all have flaws... you've pointed out mine earlier e_e" she made a face and then chuckled, "so cheer up!"

Markus looked over at Akumu and smiled “your right. I thank you for your words of kindness. But tell me Akumu how did you come into your position as a captain?” he sat down and began to eat. “so what do you think of our other captains?” he looked around slightly jittery as he asked. The food was good, but even around squad four members there were just to many people around.
Markus took most of his meals in his office. On the grounds that he hated crowds fifty years in the maggots nest taught him to always keep an eye out for an attacker so even here in fourth squad a crowd just made him nervous. Like he couldn’t put it past one of them to poison his food or take a shot at him. “I think that after this round of food I will need to make my rounds in the infirmary.” He said more to himself then anyone else.
